The US Consumer Product Safety Commission announced that Amazon is responsible for recalling around 400,000 hazardous third-party products sold on its website. These products did not meet safety standards and could pose risks, such as faulty carbon monoxide detectors, hairdryers without electrocution protection, and children's sleepwear that did not meet flammability standards. Amazon was ordered to develop plans to notify customers about the product hazards and provide refunds or replacements. Amazon said it would appeal the order in court.
