The President of the Scrap Iron Dealers Association says it will set up its own unit to visit scrap metal yards in this country to ensure they are being properly operated.

The Association's president said this is to help eradicate the problem of scrap metal theft.

He made the announcement while speaking with Juhel Browne about a new extension of the scrap metal licences granted by the Trade Ministry.
