Akari Chargers beat Galeries Tower Highrisers

The Akari Chargers outlasted the Galeries Tower Highrisers in a cardiac five-setter match, 23-25, 25-15, 25-16, 22-25, 18-16, in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) 2024 Reinforced Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig on Saturday, August 10.

Oly Okaro fired 32 points on 28 attacks and four blocks to lead her squad, while Ivy Lacsina added 20 points.

“I don’t think that we have an advantage, because if you are the top team everyone wants to beat you so bad, and the teams are going to give everything they have. Just because we are in the first place does not mean anything, these teams are going to beat us,” Okaro told the press after the game.

Akari holds a 6-0 win-loss record, while Galeries remain winless (0-6).
