Iraqi resistance group, Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba, claimed responsibility for a rocket strike on the US-occupied Ain al-Assad Airbase, which wounded five US personnel. The group’s official, Haider al-Lami, warned of more surprising attacks against US forces in Iraq and beyond. The August 15 strike involved three explosions near the airbase. Iraqi resistance groups have vowed to continue targeting US military bases where American forces are stationed.
