The handling of the case of a woman doctor, who was allegedly raped and killed at RG Kar Hospital, by the Kolkata Police came under scrutiny during a hearing in the Supreme Court on Thursday, August 22. The apex court questioned the delay in lodging an FIR and sought to know the reason behind it from the Kolkata Police. Meanwhile, major doctors’ associations called off their strike after the Supreme Court's appeal.
