A Barrackpore couple was brutally attacked on their way home on Saturday night.

The husband was taken to hospital that night, while the wife remained unaccounted for.

However, it wasn’t until Sunday morning during a search of the area, that relatives discovered her body a short distance from where the attack occurred.

Reporter Cindy Raghubar-Teekersingh visited the scene and spoke with the husband, as well as relatives of the woman.
