Ingredients / सामग्री:
1 Cup Semolina (सूजी)
3/4 cup Gram flour (बेसन )
1 teaspoon Cumin powder (जीरा पाउडर)
1 teaspoon Turmeric Haldi ( हल्दी पाउडर)
- 1/2 teaspoon Red chili powder () / 1/2 चम्मच लाल मिर्च पाउडर
- 1 teaspoon Chaat masala / 1 चम्मच चाट मसाला
- 1/2 teaspoon Kali mirch powder (Black pepper powder) / 1/2 चम्मच काली मिर्च पाउडर
- Salt to taste / स्वादानुसार नमक
- 1 Shimla mirch (Capsicum) - chopped / 1 शिमला मिर्च - कटी हुई
- 1 Tamatar (Tomato) - chopped / 1 टमाटर - कटा हुआ
- 1 Pyaz (Onion) - chopped / 1 प्याज - कटा हुआ
- Dhaniya patta (Coriander leaves) - chopped / धनिया पत्ता - कटा हुआ
- 1 teaspoon Ginger garlic paste / 1 चम्मच अदरक-लहसुन पेस्ट
- 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil / 2 चम्मच वनस्पति तेल
- 1 teaspoon Jeera (Cumin seeds) / 1 चम्मच जीरा
- 1 teaspoon Saunf (Fennel seeds) / 1 चम्मच सौंफ
- 1 teaspoon Kala sarso (Black mustard seeds) / 1 चम्मच काला सरसों
Instructions :
Step 1:
In a bowl, combine 1 cup sooji and 3/4 cup besan. Add 1 teaspoon jeera powder, 1 teaspoon haldi, 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder, 1 teaspoon chaat masala, and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Mix well.
Step 2:
Gradually add water to form a smooth batter (ghol).
step 3:
Add salt to taste, 1 chopped capsicum, 1 chopped tomato, 1 chopped onion, some chopped coriander leaves, and 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste. Mix everything together.
Step 4:
Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan. Add 1 teaspoon jeera, 1 teaspoon fennel seeds, and 1 teaspoon mustard seeds. Sauté briefly.
Step 5:
Pour the batter into the pan, mix, and cook on medium heat until it's done.
Step 6:
Transfer the mixture onto a plate greased with oil. Spread evenly and sprinkle some water on top to smooth it. Let it set for 30 minutes.
Step 7:
Cut the mixture into medium-sized squares, like barfi.
Step 8:
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan. Fry the pieces until golden brown on all sides.
Your sooji and besan snack is now ready to serve !
