An American Man set himself on fire during a pro-Palestinian demonstration near the White House in #Washington.
The protester was taken to hospital and his injuries are not life-threatening, The Washington Post said.
The demonstration marked the first anniversary of the attack by the Palestinian Hamas movement on Israel on October 7, 2023, and the Israeli Army's subsequent aggression against the #Gaza Strip.
Some 1,000 people gathered at the demonstration in the US capital on Saturday, carrying banners reading "free #Palestine," demanding an arms embargo on #Israel, and waving Palestinian flags.
