Tesla and CEO Elon Musk unveiled the long-anticipated driverless robotaxi, Cybercab, alongside the larger Robovan at the "We, Robot" event in Los Angeles. The Cybercab, which has no steering wheel or pedals, features a minimalist design and is designed to be fully autonomous. Musk stated that the vehicle would be priced below $30,000 and could debut in 2026. Tesla also introduced the Robovan, capable of transporting up to 20 people, though pricing and service dates were not disclosed. Musk stated that Tesla will move from supervised full self-driving to unsupervised full self-driving, meaning the cars will no longer need human intervention. Trials will begin next year.
