A brief shouting match erupted in Parliament on Tuesday (Oct 22) after RSN Rayer (PH-Jelutong) objected to Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden’s (PN-Alor Setar) use of the term “mamak pasembor” a day earlier, calling it insulting to the Indian Muslim community.
Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim (PN-Arau) then raised a standing order, accusing Rayer of suggesting the Alor Setar MP insulted Indian Muslims.
Presiding Speaker Datuk Mohd Shahar Abdullah advised MPs to file a motion if dissatisfied.
