Malaysia is committed to resolving disputes in the South China Sea constructively during the 2025 Asean summit, said Deputy Foreign Minister Datuk Mohamad Alamin.
Addressing the Dewan Rakyat on Wednesday (Oct 23), he affirmed that this approach aligns with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s call for the issue to be addressed at the international level.
Mohamad, who is also the Kimanis MP, reiterated Wisma Putra’s firm stance that all disputes must be resolved based on international law, specifically the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea 1982 (UNCLOS 1982).
