Drone footage shows Sahara floods after rare desert rainfall
Dramatic drone footage from Morocco shows flooded palm trees and sand dunes across the Sahara Desert on Thursday, October 24, after rare rainfall hit the region.
The aerial footage shot at Merzouga near Rachidia, in southeastern Morocco reveals the extent of flooding triggered by the downpours.
In a social media post, Morocco's General Directorate of Meteorology said the country experienced a particularly unstable and humid month of September which was marked by intense downpour.
