What an incredible day it was, revisiting some familiar places and reconnecting with an old friend of a tree that used to be such a big part of my life. First stop was the Wimborne Model Village, and it was the perfect start to the day! It felt great to visit again and share it with anyone who might’ve missed my previous video.
I had planned to stop by the church in Wimborne as well, even pointing it out in the video that we’d be visiting. But as luck would have it, a service was in progress, so no church tour this time—guess it wasn’t meant to be!
On the way to the main destination, I stumbled across a wild apple tree. Some apples had already fallen, but I managed to grab a couple from the branches as a snack for later—enjoyed them while sitting up in my tree! Mental note: bring a ladder next year, haha.
As I made my way back through these familiar heathlands, I was flooded with memories. These trails and hidden spots have been like an old friend, and it felt amazing to be back, wandering off the beaten path, rediscovering the secrets of this place. I even picked a few heather flowers along the way before finally arriving at the main event: the tree my nieces and nephew fondly call “Uncle Gary’s” tree.
Climbing up again, I took a moment to take in the views, feeling the stillness and grounded energy of this spot. This tree has been there for me through all the ups and downs of 2022 and into 2023, offering quiet comfort no matter what was going on in my life. Thank you, old boy, for all the memories. Until we meet again!
