UK's Prince William takes part in nature walk in Cape Town during climate-focused visit
The UK’s Prince William kicked off the second-day of Earthshot Week with a nature walkabout and a lesson on flora and fauna on Cape Town’s Signal Hill mountain on Tuesday, November 5.
The prince was also joined by Australian conservationist Robert Irwin, the 20-year-old son of the late Steve Irwin.
Prince William was welcomed by park rangers, firefighters, mountain rescue volunteers, biodiversity experts and youth volunteers, who spoke to him about the diversity of fauna and flora and the work they do to protect the environment while ensuring residents and tourists are able to enjoy the scenic area.
The Prince of Wales is in the country for a four-day visit centered around the Earthshot Prize awards taking place on Wednesday November 6.
