The Thanksgiving box office saw record-breaking success. Disney's Moana 2, Universal's Wicked, and Paramount's Gladiator II generated an estimated $420 million ticket sales over five days, the highest Thanksgiving haul in history. Moana 2 led with over $220 million, surpassing expectations and breaking the Thanksgiving weekend record previously held by Frozen II. Wicked became the highest-grossing Broadway adaptation at the domestic and global box office. Gladiator II boosted the Thanksgiving box office and achieved substantial domestic and global earnings since its international debut. This year’s strong Thanksgiving box office performance reduced the gap between 2024 and 2023 revenues.
