Adobe Analytics reports that Black Friday online shopping hit a record $10.8 billion this year. Thanksgiving Day online sales also reached a new high of over $6 billion, up 9% year-over-year. Toys drove online sales growth, with purchases surging over 600% compared to average fall days. Jewelry sales rose over 500%, appliances over 400%, and apparel and electronics over 300%. Mobile devices accounted for 55% of Black Friday online sales.
