Only one lawmaker opposed the 2018 decision on the sovereignty of Batu Puteh, Batuan Tengah, and Tubir Selatan, revealed Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman (Muda-Muar).

Speaking during the debate on the Batu Puteh, Batuan Tengah, and Tubir Selatan Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) report in the Dewan Rakyat on Thursday (Dec 12), Syed Saddiq highlighted the lack of dissenting voices among Cabinet members at the time and questioned whether Malaysians had adequately expressed their concerns.

He also raised concerns about the apparent silence surrounding the issue, emphasising the need for accountability and transparency.
