Because of the encoding problems on DM, I reposted this lovely song in another video format, obviously with the appropriate result this time. Sorry for those who had left comments, favorited and/or rated. This orchestra was renamed after Herb Wiedoeft's death. Indeed, Wiedoeft was killed in a car accident in 1928, and subsequently the Herb Wiedoeft Orchestra became known as the Jesse Stafford Orchestra when the band's trombonist Stafford took over leadership of the band. Now Herb Wiedoeft was the brother of saxophonist Rudy Wiedoeft and a pioneering Los Angeles jazz band leader. The band got it's name from the Cinderella Roof at the Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles. As for this lovely record, it was made in 1929. Vocal by Craig Leitch.
