Drone footage shows new park taking shape at historic Sheffield Castle site

The new park at Castlegate, where Sheffield Castle stood until 1648, and which was most recently home to Castle Market, is scheduled to open to the public in summer 2026. The River Sheaf has been opened up at the spot, where it meets the River Don, for the first time since it was buried underground in 1917.
