भारतीय ग्रैंडमास्टर डी गुकेश ने गुरुवार 12 दिसंबर को सिंगापुर में विश्व शतरंज चैंपियनशिप के निर्णायक 14वें गेम में डिंग लिरेन को हराकर सबसे कम उम्र के विश्व चैंपियन बन गए। 18 साल की उम्र में गुकेश विश्वनाथन आनंद के बाद शतरंज में विश्व चैंपियन बनने वाले दूसरे भारतीय खिलाड़ी बने। वह FIDE विश्व चैंपियनशिप के इतिहास के 18वें चैंपियन बने।

Indian Grandmaster D Gukesh became the youngest world champion by defeating Ding Liren in the deciding 14th game of the World Chess Championship in Singapore on Thursday, December 12. At the age of 18, Gukesh became the second Indian player after Vishwanathan Anand to become world champion in chess.
