GoFundMe has removed campaigns supporting Luigi Mangione, accused of killing UnitedHealthcare's CEO, citing policies against fundraising for violent crime defense. Christian platform GiveSendGo prominently hosts a fundraiser for Mangione, raising over $75,000. The platform defends its decision as supporting access to fair legal defense, regardless of public opinion. The GiveSendGo campaign claims to represent volunteers moved by Mangione's case. It promises to use funds for his defense or similar causes if declined. Mangione's attorney, however, suggested he might not accept unsolicited funding.
