Salesforce will hire 2,000 salespeople to sell its AI software, doubling its earlier hiring plan, CEO Marc Benioff announced Tuesday. The cloud software company aims to grow its generative AI revenue, by offering tools like Agentforce, its AI agent technology, which launches in February 2025. Salesforce has seen AI reduce human-assisted queries from 10,000 to 5,000 weekly. This expansion comes nearly two years after Salesforce laid off over 7,000 employees.
