The decomposed body discovered in Banting, Selangor, has been identified as 15-year-old Yap Xin Yuan, who was reported missing since Dec 19, 2024.

Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan confirmed on Thursday (Jan 2) that the identification was made through a DNA test matching the victim with her mother.
