Meta announced significant changes to its diversity, equity, and inclusion programs on Friday. It will also disband its DEI team, with Chief Diversity Officer Maxine Williams transitioning to a new role focusing on accessibility and engagement. Meta has implemented sweeping policy reversals, including replacing global affairs head Nick Clegg with Republican-aligned Joel Kaplan and ending its third-party fact-checking program.
