Japan, Philippines vow to strengthen security ties

Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya said the new Tokyo government was committed to "realizing a free and open Indo-Pacific," following a meeting in Manila with the Philippine Foreign Secretary Enrique Manalo.
