A 14-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 12-year-old boy was stabbed to death.

The teenager was detained after the young victim was found with serious injuries in Hall Green, Birmingham at 3pm yesterday (Tue).

Emergency services rushed to the scene on Scribers Lane and took the schoolboy to hospital.

However, the victim, who has not yet been named, could not be saved and he died as a result of his injuries.
