His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia has lauded the country’s economic performance, urging for its benefits to be enjoyed by all the people and not just certain groups.

In his royal address when opening the First Meeting of the 4th Term of the 15th Parliament on Monday (Feb 3), His Majesty congratulated Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and the government on Malaysia's achievements.

His Majesty also expressed support for targeted subsidies, stressing the need to ensure they reach only those who are truly eligible.
