U.S. State Department Updates Language on Its Ties With Taiwan

The U.S. State Department has made changes to the wording it uses to describe U.S.-Taiwan ties on its website. It removed previous language stating that Washington does not support Taiwan independence and added a statement saying it expects disagreements between China and Taiwan to be resolved "free from coercion."
