A full house turned up at the second public hearing on the rise of health insurance premiums and hospital charges at the Parliament on Friday (Feb 21).
At a press conference, Public Accounts Committee (PAC) deputy chairman Teresa Kok stated that approximately 550 individuals were present, compared to 180 attendees at the first public hearing in Penang.
Bayan Baru MP Sim Tze Tzin said the closed-door proceedings will address various healthcare concerns, including monopolies in medicine manufacturing, procurement of locally produced medical equipment, and other related issues.
