Taiwan's Equal Pay Day Falls Two Days Later in 2025, Showing Gender Inequality

​New government figures show that in 2024 women in Taiwan must work 58 days more in a year on average to earn the same amount as men. Overall, the average hourly wage gap between men and women was 15.8%, or up to 40% in certain industries, like electronics and manufacturing.
