U.S. President Donald Trump shared on Tuesday, 4 March that he received a letter from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy who shared and expressed willingness to negotiate the Russia-Ukraine war.

"The letter reads, 'Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiating table as soon as possible to bring lasting peace closer. Nobody wants peace more than the Ukrainians…” Trump quoted in his address to the U.S. Congress on Tuesday.

Trump also said Ukraine was prepared to sign a rare earth minerals deal.
