Vanuatu has cancelled the passport of former IPL chief Lalit Modi. Modi, accused of tax evasion and money laundering, fled India in 2010 amid an ongoing probe. He had surrendered his Indian passport earlier. Vanuatu's Prime Minister's office stated that the Citizenship Commission has been asked to begin proceedings to cancel Modi's citizenship after becoming aware of the cases against him in India.
