Opposition leaders from southern states and Punjab have gathered in Chennai for a meeting against the proposed delimitation exercise. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is leading the 'Fair Delimitation' conference, arguing that the exercise could reduce southern states' representation in Parliament. Karnataka Deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar and Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan are among the attendees.
