Banana Bread
This banana bread is delicious fresh, but it's even better toasted with butter-yum! Here's my grandma Chuck's classic recipe:
Ingredients:
* 1 cup (200 g) sugar
* 1/2 cup (115 g) butter
* 2 eggs (100 g)
* 3 bananas, mashed (about 350 g)
* Pinch of salt
* 1/2 tsp baking soda, dissolved in 1/4 cup (60 ml)
buttermilk
* 1/2 tsp baking powder
2 cups (250 g) flour
* Optional: sugar and cinnamon for topping
Method:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease 1 large and 1 small loaf pan. Bake the large loaf for about 50 minutes and the small loaf for 40 minutes, or until lightly browned on top.
