Ajmer (Rajasthan), April 15, 2025 (ANI): While speaking on violence in West Bengal, during protest against Waqf Amendment Act, Syed Naseruddin Chishty, Chairman, All India Sufi Sajjadanashin Council appealed for peace. He said, “Violence is never in the interest of society or country. Everyone condemns violence but I would like to appeal to everyone to maintain peace. There is nothing in this Act that would harm your religious matters or Waqf property. Govt has officially said this again and again, so we should trust them and the Constitution of the country. We should not let be misled by anyone and not become puppets in anyone's hands. I would like to appeal the Muslims of this nation that whenever the matter of your development and protection of your rights have been taken up, you have been made political pawns. Don't become anyone's political pawn.”
