The Liberal Party led by Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney won an unprecedented fourth term in a stunning reversal of fortunes for the party which looked down and out following Justin Trudeau's resignation earlier this year. The Conservatives, which were widely tipped to win the election after Trudeau resigned, finished a close second with 144 seats.
