Opposition Lawmakers Pass Referendum Proposal on Restarting Nuclear Power

Taiwan's opposition-controlled legislature has passed a bill to hold a public referendum on restarting the country's Maanshan nuclear power plant, which was shut down earlier in May. The referendum proposal will now be sent to the Central Election Commission for review.
