As a new Riverine Flood Alert was issued for river basins in Central and South Trinidad on Thursday, the Rural Development and Local Government Minister says that "in collaboration with key stakeholders" it is successfully facilitating the transportation of students—particularly Form 6 students scheduled to sit
compulsory CAPE examinations on Thursday and Friday—to their respective schools."

The Ministry said that close to 400 lunches were distributed in flood affected areas and over 400 sandbags have been provided.
