At around 7:40 a.m. on June 24, 2025, a section of the Houzihe Grand Bridge on the Xia–Rong Expressway, located in Sandu County, Guizhou Province, collapsed due to a landslide triggered by continuous heavy rainfall. The cab of a truck was left hanging over the broken edge of the bridge.

Members of the Guizhou Blue Sky Rescue Team, en route to a flood-affected area, passed by the scene and quickly organized a rescue operation. Using ropes and rope ladders, they successfully rescued the driver trapped inside the dangling truck cab.
