Palace slams Sara over cover-up allegations
Malacañang slams what it described as a 'diversionary tactic' of Vice President Sara Duterte to cover up allegations against her, including the use of her confidential funds. Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said on June 26, 2025 that Duterte should not hide behind the narrative that her impeachment stemmed from her being the frontrunner in the 2028 elections. This, after Duterte claimed that the impeachment efforts against her were merely driven by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s desire to 'perpetuate himself or his family into power.'
