Bhilai: A tragic accident claimed the life of 16-year-old Raunak Dubey on Monday night in the Supela police station area of Vaishali Nagar, Chhattisgarh, after his speeding scooty collided with a stray dog.
The incident, caught on CCTV, shows Raunak and his friend riding at high speed when a dog suddenly came onto the road. In an attempt to swerve, the scooty hit the dog, lost balance, and crashed. Raunak fell into a roadside drain, sustaining severe head and chest injuries, while his pillion rider escaped with minor injuries.
Locals rushed both boys to hospital with help from Supela police, but Raunak was declared dead by doctors. The video of the accident has since gone viral on social media.
According to police, Raunak and his friend were on their way to lock a temple when the accident occurred.
