Wayne Hennessey has announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 38, bringing to a close a career that spanned nearly two decades.
The Bangor-born goalkeeper made his debut for Wales in 2007 and went on to win 109 caps, becoming his country’s most-capped goalkeeper and a key figure during their golden era.
His most significant club spell came at Crystal Palace, where he made 132 appearances between 2014 and 2021.
