Kementerian Kesihatan Gaza melaporkan peningkatan luar biasa sebanyak 45 kes lumpuh akut dalam tempoh dua bulan terakhir, disyaki berpunca raripada keadaan kesihatan dan alam sekitar yang merosot akibat kebulurant eruk di bawah kepungan Israel.
