Philippines may remain cyclone-free until end of July; 'habagat' rains to persist over western Luzon

No tropical cyclone may enter or form within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) in the coming days, but the southwest monsoon or “habagat” will continue to bring rains, particularly over the western sections of Luzon, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Sunday, July 27.
