The Vanishing Soldier is a 2023 Israeli war drama thriller film that tells the story of Shlomi, an 18-year-old soldier who deserts the Gaza Strip battlefield and heads back to his girlfriend in Tel Aviv. When Shlomi discovers that the military elite believes he was kidnapped during the fog of war, he must navigate a complex web of identity and survival.
