Barge hits sailboat in Florida, killing two children
Two children were killed and a third was left unresponsive after a barge struck a sailboat off the coast of Miami on Monday (July 28), local news reported.
Aerial footage showed first responders on the scene, pulling what appeared to be an unresponsive child out of the water.
The collision occurred near Hibiscus Island around 11:15 a.m., when the barge hit a summer camp sailboat belonging to the Miami Yacht Club.
Six people were on the sailboat, five of them children between the ages of 7 and 12, WKMG Orlando reported, citing local officials.
