Gondomar SC, the boyhood club of Diogo Jota and his brother André Silva, have honoured the late pair with a touching tribute on their 2025–26 kits.
Anfield’s first game since Jota’s passing came in a pre-season double-header against Athletic Bilbao. Before kick-off, Liverpool legend Phil Thompson and Athletic president Jon Uriarte laid wreaths on the pitch. Electronic boards around the stadium carried the message: Rest in Peace
