New Delhi – Two separate robbery incidents have reignited fears among Delhi residents. On Wednesday evening, the notorious Mirchi Gang struck again in Jahangirpuri’s E Block around 7:30 PM. Four to five men on scooters and bikes allegedly stormed a grocery shop, threw chilli powder in the shopkeeper’s eyes, and looted cash and goods before fleeing within seconds. CCTV footage captured the entire act. Police are scanning the visuals and conducting raids to nab the culprits. Locals claim the gang has carried out similar attacks in the past, blinding victims before robbing them.

In a separate incident, the Raincoat Gang targeted a house in Laxmi Nagar in the early hours of 9 August, stealing cash and jewellery worth ₹50 lakh. CCTV footage shows several raincoat-clad thieves covering their faces and methodically executing the burglary.

Police have launched investigations into both cases, while residents and traders demand stronger security measures.
