Tropical Storm Erin is quickly intensifying and could become the first major hurricane of the 2025 season by Friday :fire:
Currently moving west at 20 mph with winds of 45+ mph, Erin is tracking toward the northern Leeward Islands and may pass just north of them this weekend :water_wave:
Forecasters warn that even if Erin avoids direct landfall, the East Coast could still see dangerous waves, strong surf, and rip currents by next week :cyclone:

Meteorologists are also watching two other systems in the Atlantic and Gulf, but neither is expected to develop significantly — for now :eyes:
