Sunil's journey from engineering student to homelessness reveals the impact of mental health on families. Depression destroyed his software career when tasks took hours instead of minutes. OCD made him fear gas stoves, forcing the family to use induction cooking. His wife developed schizophrenia but remains unaware. From 2015 to 2022, they lived on the streets, earning Rs 200-400 daily marketing cards. They sold jewellery, missed family weddings, and faced village shame. Their son developed social anxiety. His brother graduated from IIT BHU while Sunil struggled. Now at The Banyan, they receive treatment, stability, and hope for their son's engineering future.
